Halloween Costume Contest 2026

One dog wins a free Full Grooming. Votes from our website, Instagram, and Facebook all count.

Who runs the contest

La Cañada Pet Grooming, 1319½ Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011 ("the salon"), runs this contest. Questions: call 818.790.9175 or email lacanadapetgrooming@gmail.com.

Entries

• Entries are dogs photographed in costume at or outside the salon in October 2026 whose owners agreed to have the photo and the dog's name shown on our website, Instagram, and Facebook.
• New entries are accepted through Saturday, October 24, 2026.
• Owners can ask us to remove their dog's entry at any time.

Voting

• Voting is open from 12:00 AM Pacific Time on Sunday, October 25, 2026, through 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
• Anyone may vote. No purchase is necessary.
• Website: tap the heart on a dog's photo. Each person may vote once per dog and may vote for as many dogs as they like.
• Instagram and Facebook: each like or reaction on that dog's official contest post on the salon's own Instagram account and Facebook Page counts as one vote. Likes on shares, copies, or other accounts' posts do not count.
• A dog's score is its website votes plus its Instagram likes plus its Facebook reactions, counted at the close of voting.

Fair play

• To keep voting fair, the website limits votes per device and per internet connection, and slows down rapid repeated voting.
• The salon may remove votes it reasonably believes are automated, duplicated, bought, or otherwise against the spirit of the contest, and may disqualify an entry involved in such activity.
• The salon does not store visitors' names or full internet addresses for voting; it keeps only scrambled codes needed to prevent duplicate votes.

Winner and prize

• The dog with the highest score wins. We will announce the winner on November 1, 2026, on our website, Instagram, and Facebook, and contact the owner directly.
• If two or more dogs tie for first place, each tied dog wins the prize.
• Prize: one free Full Grooming at the salon for the winning dog, at the package price for that dog's size and coat. Add-ons not included in the Full Grooming package are charged at regular prices.
• The prize must be booked and used within 6 months of the announcement (by April 30, 2027). It is not transferable and has no cash value.

Instagram and Facebook

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or Meta. By taking part, participants release Instagram, Facebook, and Meta from any liability related to the contest. Any information you share in the contest goes to La Cañada Pet Grooming, not to Instagram, Facebook, or Meta.

The salon may change or cancel the contest if something outside its control prevents it from running fairly, and will post any change on this page. Void where prohibited.
